Motorcyclist seriously injured in North Park collision [Breaking]
A motorcyclist sustained serious leg injuries, possibly requiring amputation, when he collided with a car that turned into his path Wednesday night in North Park, San Diego police said.
It happened just before 8 p.m. on 30th Street near Lincoln Avenue, prompting the closure of two main roads in the area for much of the night, San Diego police Officer Darius Jamsetjee said. The 28-year-old victim, riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson was riding north on 30th Street when the driver of a southbound Toyota Prius turned in front of him, Officer Robert Heims said in a news release.Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where medical personnel reported the injury could require amputation, Jamsetjee said.The driver of the Prius, a 27-year-old man, was not injured in the crash and not suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to police.
