A person died Monday afternoon when a van and motorcycle collided in Union City.
The person, whose name and age have not been released, was riding on the back of the motorcycle when the crash happened at about 2:50 p.m. on the 1600 block of Whipple Road, according to the Union City Police Department. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a hospital; that person’s condition remained unclear Monday evening.Further details of the crash were not immediately released.
