When the National Hockey League kicked off its season in Canada on Wednesday, Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk and winger Mathieu Joseph were two of the stars of the show in 30-second Hyundai commercials titled “Sibling Rivalry.”Together with brothers Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers and Pierre-Olivier Joseph of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the boys were seated in the back of a Hyundai SUV, pushing and shoving each other.
“We really didn’t realize how big a process it was to film a 30-second commercial, so it was eye-opening, but it was just such a fun experience and we had a great time.” “We’ve gotten very positive feedback,” Christine Smith, director of marketing for Hyundai Canada, told Postmedia. “Everyone was great to work with and excited about the project and that really comes through in the final product.
Hyundai Canada wanted the commercials to reflect on a moment that countless families in this country have experienced.
