Reports of attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Russian capital comes weeks after Kyiv was blamed for a drone strike on the Kremlin.
Authorities in Moscow have said that the Russian capital was attacked by drones as reports of explosions and buildings being hit were shared on social media.there had been"insignificant damage" to buildings, two of which were evacuated.
Meanwhile, the Moscow regional governor Andrei Vorobyov said that several drones were"shot down" as they approached the city. A number of strikes on Russian infrastructure, such as airfields and military depots, have taken place since the start of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. Kyiv has not commented on the latest reports of attacks which come weeks after Russia blamed Ukraine for a drone strike on the Kremlin at the start of May.
Also on Tuesday morning, Russia launched a pre-dawn drone air raid which killed at least one person. Kyiv's military administration said Ukrainian air defense destroyed at least 20 Iranian-supplied Shahed UAVs over Ukraine's capital.Red Square in front of the Kremlin on May 03, 2023 in Moscow, Russia after the building was hit by what Moscow said was a Kyiv-directed drone attack.
