The Center is seeking the public's opinion on how best to update their exhibits.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center in downtown Fairbanks presents a detailed look at the natural history and community stories of the Fairbanks area - and coming soon, it will be receive a makeover.

“We want to know, what do you want to see?” invited the presenter. “What you like, what you don’t like?” While the general message was supportive, some feedback mentioned areas where the Center could improve - such as labeling and attributing the Native craftsmanship. In addition, as Cole pointed out, the photos of the Traditional Chief and Second Chief are out of date, and photos of the current chiefs should be added - and it would be nice to honor other notable chiefs of the past as well.
