A Morning shooting in Montgomery left one dead and one seriously injured
Capt. Saba Coleman said authorities arrived to find one male dead. He has been identified as 38-year-old Charles Griggs.Coleman said the suspect, who was still in possession of a weapon, was quickly taken into custody. She attributed the swift capture to numerous citizens calling in with information, as well as officers being in the area.
Coleman identified the suspect as Samuel Williams, 41, of Montgomery. He is charged with murder, two counts attempted and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
