Renovations include new cell blocks, a new kitchen and a new laundry room.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Upgrades will soon be coming to the Montgomery County Detention Center’s “old jail” that was first built in 1985.
Sheriff Derrick Cunningham said the purpose is to create a state-of-the-art facility that will benefit employees and inmates.
