The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce is urging the Alabama Department of Education to once again take over the Montgomery Public Schools System.

Chamber President and CEO Anna Buckalew listed off a number of major economic projects recently announced in the Montgomery area and said, “economic development and community prosperity are built upon education.” We urge the four members of the Montgomery County Board of Education who acted to accept Dr. Brown’s resignation last week to reassess the serious setbacks their actions will inflict upon Montgomery Public Schools students, and the ability of the district to retain and or recruit future leadership.
