The two-foot long creature was something a local animal rescue had never seen.
A sharp-eyed FedEx driver in Carlisle saw something you just don’t see every day on Tuesday and now the whole thing has gone viral.Well, maybe not a monster, exactly, but it was a big lizard that now has a bigger social media presence than most lizards you will ever meet. And the lizard is, at least now it is, named “Monster.” You can check it out over on the Speranza Animal Rescue page because that is where the driver took the lizard after he found it.
“We are not experienced with lizards so we will be looking for a rescue to take this guy in,” Speranza posted. “He’s around 2-feet long. No clue if male or female. And is actually pretty darn cool.The post has been viewed more than 3,000 times with nearly 700 comments and nearly 300 shares.They are supposedly “stoutly built, with relatively short limbs and toes.”
Savannah’s apparently eat crabs, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes and things of that nature, and their teeth are apparently good enough to crack and eat snails.
