Rainfall is expected to hit Glasgow as we go into a new week with a warning for snow and ice still in place.
It's set to be a gloomy, miserable and rainy day across the city with downpour expected throughout most of Monday so we'd advise getting your umbrella out. It comes as the Met Office's yellow warning for snow and ice remains in place despite the city seeing very little snow over the weekend. The warning, which says disruption to travel is likely, will come into force from 5pm today and goes into 10am tomorrow.Rain, sleet and snow followed by ice is likely to impact travel, the Met Office has warned.
Today's forecast reads: "Rain across Argyll, this turning to snow over hills this afternoon with snow to low levels later. Elsewhere cloudy with occasional rain, persistent rain and hill snow spreading southwards to most areas later. Mild, but turning colder later on. Maximum temperature 10 °C. "Sleet and snow, with some rain at first, will clear south this evening. Then drier with clear periods and a frost. Snow showers spreading south later. Icy patches.
