This movement is an unexplored and unprecedented action, led by black and brown women with a team of white women working behind the scenes, to end gun violence in the United States.” The Here 4 the Kids website repeats the often stated false claim that “guns are the number one killer of children in the United States.” This claim is often based on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study which counts people of voting age–18 and 19-year-olds–as children. Breitbart News hasthat using the broad age range allows the study to show firearm-related deaths of children ages 0-19 totaled 4,368 in 2020, while motor vehicle deaths for the same age range totaled 4,036.
