Moe also announced Monday he is heading to the United Kingdom and Germany in “the days ahead” to promote Saskatchewan trade.

While Moe didn’t provide details on what those options are, he said Saskatchewan and Canada could suffer damage to its reputation as being a sustainable supplier should the dispute continue.

CP employees across Canada have been on the picket line after talks broke down with the company. CP had issued a lockout notice late last week over the dispute. “We have faith in their ability to reach an agreement. Canadians expect them to do that ASAP,” Labour Minister Seamus O’Regan’s office said in an email to Postmedia.

“We just simply can’t have an interruption of service here in Saskatchewan,” Moe said. “What I would say in addition to that this week is there’s two parties at the bargaining table … that can bring this to an agreement.”Article content
