We are now heading into week 2 of high school football and the Mobile County Public School System is set to vote on a new contract -- that’s expected to return Friday night lights to Ladd-Peebles Stadium. We take a look back at the violence that stopped high school play there nearly a year ago -- and the concerns that are still lingering.

“As long as they keep the metal detectors up through the whole fourth quarter and security stays there until everyone has left the stadium, then I think the violence will end,” said Tyese Roper, concerned parent.
