The incident shows 'the damage done by using methamphetamine,' Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves said.

A Missouri man was allegedly caught smoking methamphetamine in the parking lot of a sheriff’s office parking lot, while the woman with him attempted to bail someone out of jail, a Kansas sheriff said.

Christopher Hill, 25, was arrested on February 28, after allegedly being caught smoking meth in a sheriff's office parking lot in Kansas. Hill was released from jail a few hours later. Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Hill was approached by the deputy, who found Hill to be “in possession of a considerable amount of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.”

“This is certainly a situation which can be used to demonstrate the damage done by using methamphetamine, which clearly results in a diminished ability to think rationally,” Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves said in the statement.
