Joey Fillingane, defending a controversial bill that would ban gender-affirming care for trans minors, said on the Senate floor Tuesday he'd recently spoken with a Hattiesburg-based plastic surgeon who told him he'd performed gender-confirmation surgery on 17-year-old trans kids.
