A man is dead after an overnight shooting in Mississauga, Peel police said Saturday morning.

Around 1 a.m., Peel Regional Police were called to the area of Elizabeth Street South and Lakeshore Road East for reports of a shooting.

Police found two men with gunshot wounds and both victims were taken to trauma centres. One man succumbed to his injuries and police are “awaiting assessment of man.”
