San Antonio Missions pull off improbable, pitch second no-hitter in three games
Mason Fox’s heart skipped a beat as the ball went by him.
“I knew I was only going to have three innings at most with it being my first game back,” Bachar said. “I hadn’t played in two years. I just wanted to get out there and get comfortable again.” Sunday, though, he was perfect — if only for three innings. He stuck out two batters before getting relieved by Lugo, who also threw three perfect innings.
Right now, the Missions are on fire. During the past seven days, the staff has an ERA of 1.60 and a WHIP of 0.71. And with the uptick in pitching, the Missions have won six of their last eight games.
