The country star explains in the caption of her mini-gallery that she and husband Brendan McLoughlin were driving on a two-lane highway in Texas when he suddenly slowed to do a U-turn. When she asked why he did that, he replied,"there's a kitten in the road and I knew you would kill me if I saw it and didn't stop."MuttNationThe animal lover shared that the two then drove back to Nashville with the kitten and their two dogs.
The"It All Comes Out in the Wash" singer also shared that her dad adopted the male kitten, a boy named Tequila, and is his"new bestie." The little guy is estimated to be around four to five weeks old, and weighs just 14 ounces.
