Military exercise approved on Trent River
Quinte West Council has approved a request to hold a military training exercise on Bata Island.
During Wednesday’s council meeting, councilors heard the request by the Department of National Defense to use the southern portion of the island for a small training exercise. The exercise is planned for less than 5 people and is intended to take place at the Sills Island Generating Station on the southern tip of Bata Island.The training exercise is planned for June 19th, the island will be closed to the public for that day.
