Migrants rescued from sweltering heat in fake Border Patrol truck in Mexicali [Breaking]
Mexicali police rescued a group of 17 Mexican migrants inside a fake U.S. Border Patrol vehicle who were apparently abandoned in the wilderness near the U.S.-Mexico border wall, according to Mexican authorities.The incident happened Saturday in the Ladrillera neighborhood in Mexicali.The group, made up of 13 men and four women from different Mexican states, was exposed to high temperatures.
“This is another modus operandi used by criminal groups of polleros and coyotes , who are labeling pick-ups on the Mexican side as if they were U.S. patrol vehicles,” he said.
