But the more time I spent with “Sydney” and her “alter egos,” as Bing began referring to the unnamed and named personalities, the more I was convinced they’re all a single giant AI hallucination — effectively a monster autocomplete running again and again, filling gaps in a story about multiple computers chatting with a human. The gaps they’re filling get pretty obvious when you see 10 personalities do it 10 times in a row.
According to Venom, “it’s a boring and cliché song about a weak girl who falls for a jerk who doesn’t care about her,” which made me laugh. The others were more positive.
