Michael Conforto will not be playing until 2023. The 29-year-old former Mets outfielder underwent successful right shoulder surgery last week, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported on Saturday.
The 29-year-old former Mets outfielder underwent successful right shoulder surgery last week,Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed the surgery. Conforto is expected to recover fully and return to play during spring training 2023 — assuming he has signed with a team by then.
Scott Boras, Conforto’s agent, told Heyman the outfielder injured his right shoulder while working out in January. Conforto had been weighing in recent days whether to get the surgery — being termed as a cleanup — now or wait until the end of year.Share this article:
