Homophobic language was used by officers.Evidence of racism, including a number of messages with reference to Somali children and African children.
"While these officers predominantly worked in teams in Westminster, which have since been disbanded, we know from other recent cases that these issues are not isolated or historic."- the incident only came to light in March 2022 in a safeguarding report. In 2022, an investigation was launched against four Met Police officers and they were each served with gross misconduct notices in connection with the incident.
