A Met Office yellow warning is in effect as Northamptonshire braces itself for icy and snowy weather. .
The yellow indicator is in force from 9pm tonight until 10am on Tuesday - meaning 13 hours of bad weather is possible. It comes as an arctic airmass from the north heads its way south towards the UK this week.This weather pattern is set to force temperatures to plunge across the country - with the UK potentially set to face the coldest temperatures of the year so far.
Accuweather says it will be "mostly cloudy and chilly" with lows of -4C in Northampton on Tuesday. However, on Thursday it expects to see "rain and snow showers".
