We are seeking a Biomedical Technician to assist with routine and specialized service and maintenance for institution wide biomedical and scientific equipment and instrumentation.Provides electronic maintenance services and maintenance on institution wide biomedical and scientific instrumentation and equipment. Troubleshoots equipment for electronic failures. As necessary or required by specifications or repair, replaces parts or modules. Calibrates equipment per manufacturer specifications.
Prepares and maintains records and reports. Prepares work orders to include service trouble, services performed, equipment nomenclature and identification, service time, parts replaced, and parts and labor cost. Prepares purchase orders to support equipment parts failure. Maintains reports as necessary to comply with hospital, JCAHO, state and federal requirements. Enters and retrieves maintenance data from department computer data base.
