Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son Archie (not short for Archibald) has one of the most popular baby names of 2019
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally revealed the name of their son on Wednesday. Along with the first images of their baby, who was born on Monday, the couple announced the child’s name, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in an Instagram post.
Within minutes of little Archie’s name announcement, social media flooded with fan reactions to the child’s unique moniker. While the royal couple didn’t detail the inspiration behind their son’s name, some people across the pond suspected Markle and Harry may have gotten the idea from hit series Riverdale, which follows the dark and brooding teen Archie Andrews.
As for the most popular girl names in the U.K., the top 11 names included Olivia, Emelia, Isla, Ava, Emily, Sophia, Grace, Mia, Poppy, Ella and Lily.
