Meet the team that will represent Texas in the "Spectrum News Challenge."Esmee plays percussion in her school band and has participated in the Austin Youth Orchestra. She advanced to regionals in a statewide competition in guitar and history.Esmee loves to cook. Her specialties include four-cheese pasta and homemade German chocolate cake.Shivani has been a straight-A student her entire high school career.
She’s a National Youth Storyteller — one of only 10 in the country, and a published author.Shivani is an aspiring entrepreneur who already owns a business that takes scrap materials and creates tote bags.Lilith is a self-professed political junkie who has competed in the state’s interscholastic league. She’s a member of the school’s marching band in color guard, and part of choir that has performed at South by Southwest and Austin City Limits.
