Carbon Hill, Alabama, mayor Mark Chambers resigned after drawing backlash for criticizing the Alabama football team's Black Lives Matter video over Facebook.in Alabama, Chambers handed in his resignation to the town clerk on a blank piece of paper Saturday that read,"I quit the job of mayor effective June 27 at 4:30 p.m.
The Alabama football team posted a two-minute video with players repeating the words,"Black Lives Matter" and concluding with:"All lives can't matter until black lives matter." Chambers' full posts read: “I got several Alabama pictures for sale Nick Sabin and the Tide is done in my opinion I’ll post them tomorrow ... I think you may be right they haven’t looked as good the last couple of years ... I’m not getting rid of them because of how they have performed.
