Matthew Vaughn On Why Taron Egerton Should Be Lex Luthor Instead of Wolverine

Kingsmen series director Matthew Vaughn has commented on if Taron Egerton would be better as Wolverine or Lex Luthor.

should play Wolverine. The director stated that he felt the actor wasn’t a good fit for the character and would be better served playing Lex Luthor.

“I think he’d be better as Lex Luthor,” Vaughn explained. “I think he’d be an amazing Luthor. He shouldn’t be Wolverine, I don’t think. I don’t think he’s right for it. I think you’ve got to more … really go back to … Hugh ’s brilliant as Wolverine, but I would go back to what the comic is — go really small, grizzly, tough guy. That’s what I would do.
