Mason Fine will continue to handle quarterback duties for the Saskatchewan Roughriders despite an 0\u002D2 record this season.
“He played well,” Dickenson said as the Riders returned to practise at Mosaic Stadium this week. “He made a lot of tough throws under duress and for the most part, played a pretty sound game.
“Ottawa’s going to come in loaded for bear,” said Dickenson. “They’ve got a good football team. You can tell they’re much better across the board personnel-wise. It’ll be a good test.” “You can play better, make a couple more throws, better decisions. But a lot to build on moving forward and I’m just going to keep my head down and keep working.”Article content
And while Fine is set to get the start again this week, Dickenson says there’s a chance Dolegala — and third-string quarterback Shea Patterson — could all play. The 6-foot-6, 340-pounder attended training camp with the Riders before suffering a leg injury. Now healthy, the Riders decided it was time to bring him back.
