In the pages of Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant, a mysterious presence has been watching over Kamala Khan. This enigmatic being, resembling a Silver Surfer and Doctor Strange mashup, has a plan for Kamala, and in a preview for Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #2, fans get a tantalizing glimpse of this powerful entity.
Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #2 is written by Sabir Pirzada and Iman Vellani and drawn by Carlos Gomez and Adam Gorham. After the events of the previous issue, Ms. Marvel has a vision where she encounters women versions of Marvel characters, such as Thor and Nova. As the women in the vision tell her she belongs with them, Ms. Marvel tries to break free, pleading with a mysterious figure watching her from outside the prison.
The New Silver Surfer Has an Interest in Ms. Marvel This presence, while only seen from behind in the preview, has been dogging Ms. Marvel since she returned to the land of the living. In Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #1, she has a vision similar to the one in the preview. She encounters various people and teams from her past and breaks free of a prison not unlike the one seen in the preview. Upon breaking out, Ms. Marvel found herself facing an awesome being.
The character resembles the Silver Surfer and travels on his trademark board, but wears Doctor Strange’s cape, complete with the Eye of Agamotto. No information was given about this new character. Unfortunately, this preview for Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #2 provides no answers either, nor gives much room for speculation. However, what readers have seen of the new presence in Ms. Marvel's life is intriguing, to say the least.
