Marty's Back To The Future Video Footage Should Be Very Different The mistake in question happens fairly early in the story, when Marty travels into the past and encounters the younger version of his friend Doc Brown. He shows Brown a video that was filmed just before his journey, but the video that he shows him doesn’t quite match up with the footage from earlier in the movie.
