Fox News host Laura Ingraham suggested Martin Luther King Jr. would be unhappy that the Democrats are protesting about civil rights.
The daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. hit back at Fox News host Laura Ingraham after she suggested the late civil rights leader would not be happy with protesting Democrats during her show on the anniversary of his assassination.
Ingraham used her monologue on Thursday night to attack high-profile Democrats campaigning on civil rights issues, accusing them of sowing division and denying reality about the improving lot of black people in modern America. “Or that black Americans have reached the highest levels of business, the law, medicine, entertainment, sports, pretty much every area of society. And that is a very good thing.
The conservative host then played a clip of Sharpton giving a radio interview. “We're in the post-Obama generation so we have already seen a black president,” Sharpton says on Power’s The Breakfast Club .
