“RIP beautiful actress Marlene Clark. . . It was a delight to work with you…,” Demond Wilson, who portrayed Lamont Sanford,Wilson listed her birthdate as Dec. 19, 1949. The Hollywood Reporter reported she was born in Harlem on Dec. 19, 1937.
Her first major movie was 1968’s “For Love of Ivy” alongsideShe went on to appear in 1969’s “Putney Swope,” directed by Robert Downey Sr.; “The Landlord” in 1970; as well as “Slaughter” and “Night of the Cobra Woman” in 1972.The Hollywood Reporter noted she left acting in the late 1980s, becoming the manager of a restaurant in Venice Beach, California. She had also opened her own clothing store.from 1968 to 1971. The Post contacted a rep for Williams for comment.
