Cleanup is underway in Manor ’s ShadowGlen neighborhood. One house took a direct hit from the Sunday morning storm. Neighbors say they are convinced the damage in ShadowGlen was done by a tornado. The National Weather Service confirms that an EF-1 tornado hit Manor and the ShadowGlen neighborhood on Sunday morning. The tornado had peak winds of 110 mph and cut a path 20 yards wide and 4.82 miles long.
“They just saw that whole thing crash into the building, and people were trying to get off the road really fast and go for shelter,” said Elisabeth Balderas, manager of Café 290.Cleanup is also underway in Manor’s ShadowGlen neighborhood. One house took a direct hit from the Sunday morning storm. Residents say they were watching TV when the roof lifted and then came crashing back down. The storm left a big hole in the ceiling, took down several fences, and damaged a few cars on the street.
