Police say the driver initially didn't pull over

A driver from Manitoba is facing a slew of charges after being stopped by the Ontario Provincial Police near Chapleau on Sunday.

Shortly after 4 p.m., the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a potentially impaired driver on Highway 101. Officers located the vehicle and police say the driver initially didn't stop, but was eventually pulled over. During the traffic stop, police say that the investigation revealed that the driver had been drinking.The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 18, 2023 in Chapleau.
