BREAKING: 15 people were killed and 10 others taken to hospital when a bus of mainly seniors collided with a semi west of Winnipeg on the Trans Canada Highway.

Carberry Mayor Ray Muirhead said in a statement posted to the town’s Facebook page that the town council was in “shock” over the news.Federal politicians also responded to news of the crash. My heart breaks hearing the news of the tragic accident near Carberry. My most sincere condolences go out to all those involved.The news from Carberry, Manitoba is incredibly tragic. I’m sending my deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones today, and I’m keeping the injured in my thoughts.
