The victim told Eyewitness News before the arrest that she was terrified of running into him again.
BROOKLYN, New York --
Police say the man who repeatedly punched a woman in the subway in January has turned himself in, a day after an Eyewitness News report on the attack.Robinson says when she asked him to stop, he slugged her multiple times in the face.Robinson told Eyewitness News that she was on a late-night train to Coney Island when she says a man darted from the front of the train to the back.
"I was tapped on my shoulder by this person, asked me if I'm OK," she said. "I told him, I turned to him, I told him leave me alone. I didn't yell."Robinson says when she asked him to stop, he slugged her multiple times in the face. "Next thing you know, I got bussed right in the month, punched by this unknown male unprovoked," she said.Robinson told Eyewitness News that falling crime rates in the subway were of little comfort to her.
"I'm just scared and tired. If I see somebody that fits his profile. I'm thinking, is this him," she said, before the arrest.
