A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury following an alleged assault and "possible stabbing" off the Ormeau Road.
Police were called to the Essex Grove area shortly after 2pm on Thursday, November 3, following reports of "an assault and possible stabbing incident".Read more: River Lagan rescue operation after kayaker gets into trouble A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.Sergeant Keith Earley said: "Our investigation is ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or who may have information to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 962 03/11/22.
