The Texas Rangers are investigating after a man suspected of drunken driving died after being taken into custody by Denton police, the police department said Friday.
Officers found the man — later identified as 46-year-old Andrew Louden — who said he was traveling from Bowie and believed he was in Lewisville. Louden told officers he had consumed alcohol in Bowie, and they tried conducting a field sobriety test. He was unable to complete the test, police said.
