Tracy Mosley now faces a charge of murder after Jerry Rayford was shot multiple times.
It is understood the shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. in Dallas County Road 33 near Orrville and that Rayford had thrown a party with an estimated 20 people in attendance.
The sheriff said there was evidence that Rayford had been shot with a .40 caliber handgun and that another person had been injured.
