Following a trial in the 379th District Court presided over by Judge Ron Rangel, Wilfredo Montemayor, 30, has been sentenced to 70 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the attempted capital murder of Balcones Heights Police Sergeant Joey Sepulveda.The incident occurred on February 3, 2021, when the Balcones Heights Police Department responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle.
