A man has been missing for five days after last seen walking out of a bar in the Heights, officials said.
Friends and family of a Houston man who hasn't been seen in six days since leaving a Heights-area bar plan to resume their search on Saturday morning
Burkes' family has been searching the area near the bar for a sign of him for days. On Thursday, they were joined by volunteers from Texas Equusearch, a volunteer search group. Despite hours of looking and widespread media attention, he still hadn't been found as of Friday night.On Friday night, Houston TV station ABC 13 broadcast. He was last seen walking west, toward White Oak Bayou before disappearing, according to the TV station.
"He's very bubbly and just a sweet person in general," Pecci Burkes said."We're just trying to stay as positive as we can. I just want to stay positive because I don't want to think something bad has happened."Shields is 5-foot, 10-inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds, according to Texas Equusearch.
