A man was subjected to a 'vicious' knife attack and relentless beating which claimed his eye

A man was subjected to a "vicious" knife attack and relentless beating which claimed his eye, a court heard. Czeslaw Fraszczak spent weeks in intensive care after he was put in an induced coma over his injuries.

The circumstances were pieced together because Mr Fraszczak could not remember what happened and Teos was drunk at the time and could not recall what happened. An ambulance was called that night to Mr Fraszczak's home in Longmead Drive, Daybrook. "He received first aid at the scene, and was taken to the emergency department at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he was treated for a couple of weeks and had some serious injuries". Through Mr Fraszczak's injuries and blood at the scene, police concluded what had happened.

They found a kitchen knife covered in blood, which Mr Chignell said the prosecution relied on being the source of some of the wounds in the home, and more evidence of a frenzied attack with a knife. The four-and-a-half inch blade was recovered from the bottom of the stairs.
