Man involved in deadly 20, Gaslamp brawl sentenced to 19 years prison [Breaking]
One of two men convicted in the 2017 stabbing death of a Camp Pendleton Marine during a Gaslamp Quarter brawl was sentenced Friday to 19 years in state prison.
Holliday, 29, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Harris’ death, and was sentenced Friday for that and other charges. Prosecutors said Holliday threw a sucker punch that sparked the fatal melee. At trial, Deputy District Attorney Christopher Lawson told jurors the defendants were wandering around the Gaslamp around 1 a.m. Dec 29, 2017, looking for victims to rob.The prosecutor said the men cased the downtown San Diego area before settling on Christopher De Herrera, a Marine who was by himself at the corner of Island and Sixth avenues.
