Man hospitalized after being shot, crashing car into train and escaping fire in southeast Houston
One man was hospitalized after crashing a car into a train in the 9700 block of Mykawa on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, according to the Houston Police Departmentafter he was shot, crashed into a train and then subsequently escaped a fiery car crash, according to the Houston Police Department.
The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the 9700 block of Mykawa in southeast Houston, according to police.Police said the man was believed to have been shot near the 6800 block of Telean and then drove north before losing control of his car and hitting a train. The car burst into flames, but the man and two other people in the car were able to escape, police said.
The man, whose name wasn't released, was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery, police said. His injuries weren't immediately released. The other two men were detained at the scene, police said.
