An emergency response was sent to Langlands Road in the city's Govan where a vehicle had driven into parked cars, railings and a person before catching fire.CID is now treating the incident as an attempted murder and is urging any witnesses to come forward with information.
The occupants of the car which struck the man fled the scene and officers are trying to track them down. Detective Constable Mark Garner of Greater Glasgow CID said: “It’s vital we find out exactly what happened and I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the incident to come forward.
"Also, if anyone has relevant dash cam footage of Langlands Road around 3pm on Saturday, please contact us.”Alternatively, contact CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
