A now-viral clip has left thousands of TikTok users baffled and frustrated.
And while some hacks will go viral due to their simplicity and the tasty finished product, others might become popular for different reasons. One such cooking hack has left viewers in equal parts baffled and angry, reports the Manchester Evening News.
In the clip they explain: "We've been boiling pasta wrong. Place your strainer into the boiling pasta, drop in your pasta, bring it to a rolling boil and cook to your liking." On top of using the strainer, the TikToker made the "red flag" mistake of snapping the pasta before putting it into the boiling water. One user even said: "I will never listen to anyone that breaks their pasta."
"BBQed broken pasta… who called the cops already," one user wrote. Another said “Ummm did he really just put BBQ sauce on pasta?”
