The shooting is the latest homicide investigation in the city following a shooting that killed a woman on Sunday. Tacoma police said officers were called to the 4300 block of Portland Avenue at 12:03 a.m. Officers arrived to find a 48-year-old man who had been shot outside a market.Two cars in the parking lot were towed away while detectives and crime scene technicians searched for evidence. A bullet hole was seen in a rear side window of one car.
It’s shaping up to be a violent year in the city so far. Monday’s fatal shooting is the 11th homicide in Tacoma this year.. When police arrived, they found a 22-year-old woman dead inside a car.
