A woman also suffered injuries and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment
Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene. .
It is reported that the entire house was engulfed in flames, wth horrified residents able to see the fire and billowing clouds of smoke from over a mile away. Scottish Fire Service crews were eventually able to extinguish the blaze and have launched a joint investigation with Police Scotland to determine the cause of blaze.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a fire at a property on Anderson Drive, Falkirk, around 10.40pm on Sunday, 5 March, 2023.“A woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. “The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and a joint-investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.”Top news stories today Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - sign up to our daily newsletter here.
